October 6th:

The DoL (demonstration of learning) was actually really neat. I didn't get to stay for all of it but I got to help set up and from what I saw it was super cool. There was a lot to look at and I also really liked that I got to work on a poster then have a QR code to a paper that told more about my question. So I could put basic information on my poster and then go more in detail about everything else I learned from this.

October 3rd:

Last week we went on a field trip to the Denver Art Museum, and got to see a bunch of really cool things. I also got to work on the 6 week inquiry, and outside class papers. I think that last week was a good week because I got a lot done.

September 12th:

Can you believe its already a month into the school year? We have done some fun stuff like the bolts, I really liked the one I chose to do, and I think those should keep happening because they are really fun to do, as well as it helps me learn about stuff that interests me. I also don't love the inquiry blocks, but they are educational and help me learn more about a question I have and that interests me. So far I am liking Mosaic a lot this year, I feel like we are gonna have a good year with a lot of different things to work on.

August 22nd:

I would say that the beginning of the 2016/2017 school year was different from the 15/16 school year. I think that the games and everything we did with advisement vs. advisement was a good idea because it got people to be creative and competitive and start to trust and learn more about their peers. I think that we did a lot of stuff to try to get to know new people and get us back into the school frame of mind where we have stuff to do, but it’s fun. So it’s an easier transition than just school starting and having to write papers instantly.

May 6th:

Now near the end of freshman year, I realized that I could work on things that I like and not have to wait for a project to be designed around it. I can design my own projects and research based on my interests. I would say that freshman year got easier because I learned more about what I needed to do, as well as finding the fun and simple sides to things as well. If I don't like the question I am researching, find a new question to ask. Because the world is full of questions that have yet to be answered.

I think for next year and in the general future I would like to learn more about human rights and animal rights. I would like to show the things that the world sometimes doesn't see. The smaller things we miss because of all the major stuff surrounding us. I would also like to learn more about writing in a news format and photography to show a point. I think this year was great, and I can't wait to see what the entire Mosaic collective accomplishes next year!

January 21st:

I would consider the very beginning of my freshman year to be challenging, but I would say it became a lot easier after a month or so. I figured out what I was supposed to be doing and did it. I found projects that interested me and stuck with them. I think I was productive in MEMA after a while of figuring out what exactly I was going to do my project on, and the MAD Week project i’m proud of because even though we weren't selected we accomplished a lot and are now going to work on other things that are even better for the project, just more challenging. I also liked being able to do the face off project because I got to be artistic and creative and work with some of my friends. I loved how I could manage my own time and work on things even when I wasn’t at school. With working in mosaic, I got to work on things that interested me and were intriguing.

I want to learn more about music technology and photography. I would like to learn how things work and how to program them to get maximum effects with technology. I want to try to learn a lot more about cameras and photography and music technology such as the novation launch pad and some mics. I want to learn to program the launch pad and how to work the computer software that goes with it. I would also like to know more about world history and geography. I want to learn about landmarks and the history behind them.
